nothing brings quite the same level of joy as a birthday cake loaded with all of your favorite candy.

for me, it’s always been about the sweets, and as soon as i could make them myself, i was in the kitchen experimenting with my own creations.

this led me to working in bakeries, reading cookbooks, and learning as much as i could.

in college, mathematical problem sets and learning the pedagogy of teaching were interrupted by bakery shifts and ovens full of hermits, brownies, and rugelach.

now, not much has changed. it’s math, teaching, and baking.
